Feinwerkbau 124 Air Rifle. 177 Pellet Gun Beeman Import New Custom Finish

  

When I received this gun it was brand new. The only issue was the finish on the beech stock had a few scratches and if you have ever tried to repair the finish on a beech stock then you know its almost impossible with out sanding down the whole thing. So considering it was a butt ugly finish to begin with and had no grain character at all I decided it was easier and would make a better looking gun if it was painted gun metal grey. I dont know where FWB or Diana get the finish they put on these beech stocks but I could find a better color and texture in a public bathroom next to a frijole factory in Tiajuana! The stock received 3 coats of primer 3 coats of 2 part clear industrial urethane paint that I mixed pearl black mica flakes into, then 6 coats of 2 part urethane clear of which 2 coats were probably removed during the 1000, 2000,3000 grit sanding followed by compounding and polishing and finally wax.

It was still faster than traditional wood finish as all coats are applied in under 2 hours it can be handled in 1 hour and sanding is done 12 hours later. Repair is much simpler as well. The photos do not catch the pearl effect or the color very well.

This is a Beeman imported rifle. You can see from the photo of the internals that this a brand new gun. I put about 20 pellets thru it to make sure everything worked as it should and it does.
