Extra Rare Rochester Multi-pump Pneumatic Air Rifle Walnut Stock Shoots Great

  

Air gun collectors check this one out-- this is a very scarce Rochester Air Rifle multi-pump pneumatic powered rifle with a nice walnut stock, made in 1947 or 1948. This was one of the guns that were made by a company put together by some ex-Crosman employees after WWII to make air rifles. These are among the most sought after of the small company made guns and were only made for about 2 years after the war, making them very scarce today, especially in working condition.

The gun still has most of its crackle black finish on the receiver and the blued finish on other metal parts. 22 caliber pellets flawlessly and is very powerful using 8 pumps. I have gone over the gun, thoroughly cleaning it, inspecting the mechanisms, lubing as necessary, and testing it by firing 20 pellets through it. It performed flawlessly, just as it was designed. Cosmetically, the stock has some minor rubs to the finish, but is in remarkable condition for a nearly 75 year old gun, see the photos, those describe the gun much better than I can using words. T hese are highly sought after air rifles with total metal frame and sights, the only non-metal part is the stock. These guns are the only original true Rochesters and are very hard to obtain in any condition, especially in working condition. Just a wonderful shooting gun that is tight and ready for addition to a high quality collection. There is an error in the listing-- the type is shown as "CO2", but the gun is pneumatic multi-pump.
