Legends Cowboy Lever Action. 177 CO2 PELLET Rifle (Yes, it is a pellet rifle)

  
This is an Umarex Legends Cowboy Lever Action. 177 BB Rifle that has been modified with a. This was done in order for it to be able to shoot. This modification has given this rifle a wider variety of ammo to choose from and better shot groupings than the BB version was capable of. It also made this a very unique rifle because Umarex never made a version of this rifle that would shoot. Since doing this modification I have found that the BB shooting rifle that it once was now has the capability to shoot pellets in half dollar size groupings fairly consistently with the occasional flier here and there with the use of Crosman Premier wadcutter pellets.

The only real problem I have run into with this modification is that it shoots a little high and a bit to the left. It has now become necessary to make a slight sight adjustment on the target when firing this gun.

It's a shame that a scope can't be mounted to the gun because the adjustments could easily be made with the scope's adjustment knobs. Especially since there is no windage adjustment on this rifle and its elevation being extremely limited.

As for the gun itself, the gun still looks as new as when I bought it. The gun has been well cared for and has only been fired a few times since I've had the gun. The gun comes with 18 pellet shells and the correct user's manual that reflects that gun is now a. Unfortunately, the box it came in still reflects that it once contained a BB rifle. I know that sounds crazy, but I'm retired military and I still like to tinker around with guns.

I have a vast knowledge of guns do my time in the service as an armorer repair tech. Therefore, modifying and updating air guns in order to make them better than when they were first made has become a hobby of mine. That, and they are cheaper and easier to work with than real guns.

The whole reason I took on this project was due to Barra introducing a pellet shooting lever action rifle similar to this Umarex rifle. That made me very curious to see if the Umarex rifle could be turned into a pellet shooting rifle too.

Other than that, I had no real need for the rifle at all other than to make it my project to see if it could be done. This is due to the fact that most of the project guns that I sell don't cover my cost to make the modifications and upgrades to them. No one would be willing to pay for the extra expense of the modifications and upgrades. However, it is my hobby, and it is an acceptable loss that I take on them.
