Hatsan 135 Vortex 30 caliber with vortex piston, Turkish walnut stock, spring kit upgrade to replace the vortex piston, and pellets. This is considered by many to be the most powerful production springer/vortex air rifle manufactured. As specified and confirmed by my testing, it is shooting over 30 ft-lbs.
It could easily kill a pest as large as a raccoon with a headshot under 25 yards, although I do not recommend it. I know several people who can install it if you cannot, or you can resell it here. Shoots fine with the vortex piston, but I prefer the shot cycle of a springer. If the Vortex piston ever fails, you can convert it to a springer.Note, you will still need to get an end plug (cheap) from Hatsan (or there are people on Airgun Nation that fabricates there own) to use with the kit to convert the gun from a vortex piston to a springer. The gun is 6 months old, and the barrel, stock, and internals are in very good condition. If you look carefully, there is a blemish on the right side of the stock by the checkering. Shot less than 100 shots through it. The specifications on PA say it shoots 44.75-grain pellets at 550 fps.
I measured 552 fps with my gun with those same pellets. So it's shooting hard per specifications for a new gun. With the heavier 50.15 pellets, I measured 525 fps, and that is the pellet I used to shoot that accurate (see picture) 3-shot group at 10 yards with iron sights and off a tripod. I can do better with a Bullseye sand bag. I have not scoped it, but it has a Picanny rail, which is superior to the normal dovetail slots you see on most airguns, and is needed for this powerful airgun.
NOTE THAT THE TARGET UNDER THE GUN IN THE PICTURES IS FOR A DAISY AVANTI. THERE IS A SEPARATE PICTURE FOR THE 3 SHOT GROUP PERFORMED BY THIS GUN AT 10 YARDS.
To summarize what you are getting. I comes with the springer conversion kit, partial tin of JSB Exact Diablo 44.75 grain pellets, and a full tin (minus one that I tested for velocity) of the JSB Exact Diablo 50.15 grain pellets that I resealed.I only shot the 50.15 grain pellets in this guns so if you subtract 150 from the pellets left in the picture, you will have the exact shot count on the rifle. The gun has a 50 lb cocking force and is heavy, so it is not suitable for children. Please review the pictures carefully and ask any questions. Not responsible for injury or death from use of this rifle.
You need a strong backdrop behind your target. I have shot the gun from my basement into my backyard with no noise complaints from my neighbors It has a noise suppessor, but is is louder than all my springs with exception of the Diana 350.
